Rustic Kitchen

Rustic kitchens, if not well-designed can look dark and dated – To get the rustic effect just right, It’s all about texture from wooden floorboards to exposed ceiling rafters, no room for fussy fabric or bright colors here. Brick and stone offer the perfect backdrop for rustic kitchens with plain grey, creams and whites letting the furniture and woodwork shine. With warm woods in every finish from silky smooth to weather-beaten grey…. the Rustic! A rustic kitchen would incorporate a simple designed layout with maybe wood, concrete or plain granite worktops. An understated door design like a plank or shaker with chunkier door sections, possibly with salvaged timber or sandblasted to give the aged feel. Choice of ironmongery is also important – large butt hinges or strap hinge mounted on the face add to the flavor, finished with a plain round handle or heavy pull from Iron or steel. The rustic door style can work from a remote farmhouse to an architects designed home.
